We're Back
This is one reason why we moved to Jacksonville. We went to Seattle last weekend and finally found some granite for the kitchen. The traffic wasn't too bad because it was a weekend, but 10 lane freeways are not our favorite.
This is one of the unpleasant things about our corner of the world, but much better than 10 lanes of traffic and definitely controllable...As long as you look first. In case your wondering, it is another black widow spider about the size of a nickel.
The final phases of the stucco process is starting. They put Styrofoam forms around the window to create the ledges and framing detail. It seems a bit strange to use styrofoam but I guess it works. Just don't throw any footballs at our windows.
Two more coats of product go over this, a primer and then the final coat. Both will enhance the color a bit.
Slate floor in the wine cellar.
More slate in the utility room. The slate still needs to be enhanced and sealed.
Some of the cabinet doors.
